Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Exevio Ltd. ("we", "us"), the publisher of Input Portal and the operator of this website. By using the website, downloading the software, or running it, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the software.
The website
You may browse the website and use the download and contact pages for their intended purpose. You must not interfere with the website, attempt to access parts of it that are not public, submit automated or abusive requests, or use the contact form to send unsolicited or unlawful content. Information on the website is provided for general guidance and may be updated at any time.
The software and your license
Subject to these terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Input Portal on computers you own or are authorized to control, for your own purposes, including at work. You may install it on any of your computers; your plan limits how many computers can join one group.
You must not:
- copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software except where the law expressly allows it;
- rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or redistribute the software or the download files;
- remove or alter notices, signatures, or checksums that accompany a release;
- circumvent plan limits or usage allowances.
The software is provided in a technical preview state. We may add, change, or remove features between releases and may stop providing the software or the relay service at any time.
Plans and the launch offer
Input Portal comes in two plans. Free is free and works with up to 2 computers in a group, with monthly allowances for Internet fallback and Remote preview. Pro has no such limits, allows larger groups, and is priced at $7 per month. Current limits are listed on the pricing page.
Launch offer. Pro is currently included at no cost with every installation, for a limited time. We will announce on the website, in advance, when the offer ends.
Acceptable use
Input Portal lets you control computers and see their screens. You must only connect computers that you own or that you are expressly authorized to control. In particular you must not:
- pair with, control, or view a computer without the knowledge and approval of the person responsible for it;
- use the software to monitor people, capture their input, or record their screens without a lawful basis;
- use the Internet relay for anything other than connecting your own group of computers;
- probe, overload, or attack the relay, the download host, or this website;
- use the software in violation of applicable law, including export control and sanctions law.
We may suspend relay access for a device or group that we reasonably believe is being used in breach of these terms.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the computers you connect, for approving pairing requests only from computers you trust, and for keeping your operating system and the software up to date. Verify downloads against the SHA-256 checksums published on the download page. Because clipboard content and input events move between the computers you connect, you are responsible for what is shared between them.
Intellectual property
The software, the website, the Input Portal name and logo, and all related content are owned by Exevio Ltd. or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership to you. Windows, macOS, Linux, and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to identify compatibility.
Privacy
Our privacy policy explains what data the website, the software, and the relay handle. The software has no account and no telemetry; the relay forwards only end-to-end encrypted data.
No warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and the software are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every computer, network, or operating system version.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Exevio Ltd. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or business, arising out of or in connection with the website or the software, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for all claims relating to the software or the website will not exceed the amount you paid us for the software in the twelve months before the claim, or, if you paid nothing, ten pounds sterling.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your statutory consumer rights.
Termination
You may stop using the software at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate your license if you breach these terms. On termination, your license ends and you must stop using the software. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as intellectual property, no warranty, and limitation of liability, continue to apply.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Exevio Ltd. is registered, and the courts of that country have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers keep the protection of mandatory rules of the country where they live and may bring claims in their local courts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the website before they take effect. Continuing to use the website or the software after a change means you accept the updated terms.
